If you've been waiting for a reason to swing by after work, we've got one for you. Starting Monday, September 14th, Ballard Beer Box is rolling out a new Ballard happy hour, and it's built around the two things we love most: good pizza and good wine.
Here's the deal.
Monday through Thursday, from open until 5pm, you get 20% off any pizza when you pair it with a glass of our house wine or any bottle off our list.
That's it. No hoops to jump through, no conditions to remember. Order a pie, order some wine, watch the discount happen. Works whether you're dining in with the dog curled up under the table, grabbing takeout on your way home, or ordering online because staying in sounds better tonight.
We started doing this because Ballard is a neighbourhood where people actually stop in after work, not just on weekends. A lot of you are walking distance, or biking distance, or "I finished my errands and now I deserve a beer" distance. This felt like the right way to make that early week stop worth it.
Why Happy Hour Pizza Hits Different Here
Every pizza we serve starts with dough made fresh in-house, every single day, using organic Washington State flour. Thanks to our chef, who mixes and rests that dough fresh every single morning before shaping it by hand for every order that goes out. It's the kind of quiet, consistent work that doesn't get enough credit, and you can taste it in every bite.
Speaking of wine, our list is full of natural and small-producer bottles, including a solid lineup of orange and skin-contact wines, fermented with white grapes.Try one alongside our Princess Bianca: a béchamel-based pie with mozzarella, shaved garlic, and whipped ricotta. The richness of the cheese against the texture of a skin-contact wine is criminally good. If you're not sure what to order, just ask whoever's behind the bar. We'd rather talk you through it than watch you guess.
And yes, dogs are welcome the whole time, happy hour included.
